Overview
This 5-day journey combines Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage with a memorable Himalayan hiking experience. Beginning in Paro, you will transfer to Thimphu, the capital, to explore iconic landmarks including Buddha Point, the National Memorial Chorten, and Tashichhoe Dzong. The following day offers an immersive cultural experience with visits to the Bhutan Post Office for personalized stamps, the School for Arts and Crafts showcasing the country’s 13 traditional arts, the interactive Simply Bhutan Museum, and the Motithang Takin Preserve. The adventure then shifts to the mountains as you trek from Sanga Chokhor Village through ancient forests with sweeping Himalayan views to the 3,900-meter Bumdrak Monastery, where you camp beneath the stars. On the final hiking day, you descend to the legendary Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest, perched dramatically on a cliffside, before returning to Paro for your departure.
